Frequently Asked Questions For SellersAre you able to sell any watch?We can sell anything, however with a minimum commission fee of $225 it is unlikely any watch with a sale price of less than $1000 will offer a worthwhile return to you. Just fill out our form here. Why should I consign rather than sell?Consignment is simple and designed to give the maximum financial return to watch owners. The consignment process gives sellers access to our retail expertise and returns the majority of the sales revenue to them. You pay a reasonable fee for our service. It is quick, easy and requires little effort on your part.Does it matter where I am located? No, you can be in any State or Territory or Country. Just call or email us and we'll help you through the process. What do you charge for your consignment service? We charge 17.5% of the sale price (minimum $245). If your watch requires servicing or restoring we will charge additionally for this. We will always quote you up front before carrying out any work. Who decides the selling price? You always decide the sale price. We will discuss sale pricing prior to taking your watch on consignment. We have to be confident your expectations are realistic. We track the sale prices of hundreds of watches each month and will advise accordingly. My watch is not working/requires servicing, can you help? Absolutely. We are able to undertake servicing and repairs to get your watch to a saleable condition. Call us for further information. Are there any disadvantages selling through you? The only advantage to selling for cash rather than consignment is time. A cash sale is immediate, whereas a consignment sale is not. We believe the higher returns make a consignment sale more favourable so long as you are prepared to be a little patient. How long does it take to sell my watch? Supply and demand varies from one week to the next. We can sell almost anything immediately if the price is attractive enough. If you are in a hurry we can price accordingly. Ultimately we look to average about 30 days for each piece in our stock. What if you fail to sell my watch? We will stay in touch with you throughout the consignment period with a view to achieving a sale. If however, we fail to sell your watch within an agreed timeframe, we will return the watch to you without charge. We do of course charge for any servicing or restoration work carried out. Do you have to take physical possession of my watch? Yes. To ensure we can guarantee supply to our customers and to check, clean and photograph your watch we must take possession of it. When your watch has sold and the return period (3 days from receipt by the purchaser) has passed, we will pay you within 3 working days, either directly to a bank account of your choice or send you a cheque, your choice.
